Platform Connections & Bot Accounts
Connect Twitch, Kick, and Velora at the same time. StreamBuddy reads and responds to all of them from one app.
Twitch
Click Sign in with Twitch on the Connect page. A browser window opens for you to approve access — there is no token to generate or paste. If the connection drops, disconnect and sign in again from Connect.
Kick
Reading Kick chat uses a public WebSocket and needs only your channel name. Sign in with Kick on the Connect page to also grant chat write access, so StreamBuddy can post back to Kick chat.
Velora
Click Sign in with Velora on the Connect page. Tokens are stored locally and refresh automatically, so you only sign in once. Granting chat write access lets StreamBuddy post to Velora chat and enables Velora events for the Soundboard.
Posting as a Bot Account
Each platform's connection card has an optional "Post chat replies as a bot" section — turn it on so StreamBuddy's chat text posts under a different name than your own streamer account.
Twitch / Kick | Sign in with a separate account you control — same sign-in window, using the bot account's login |
|---|---|
Velora | No second account needed — pick or create a bot identity owned by your own Velora account, with its own name and avatar image |
For Velora, click Set Up a Bot on the Connect page. It lists any bots you already own first — pick one, or create a new one with a name (checked live for availability), an optional description, and an optional avatar.
Tip: Disconnecting a Velora bot only clears the selection in StreamBuddy, the bot still exists on your Velora account and can be reselected anytime.
NOTE: Twitch/Kick bot accounts will likely need moderator access on your channel for their posts to be accepted, grant that form the platforms own moderator settings.
