Quick Start
Base is free, but every install needs an account and a serial key. Get StreamBuddy talking to chat in five steps.
- Create a free account at modminds.site/streambuddy and claim your Base license from the Dashboard (or purchase Pro). Then enter your serial key on the Activate screen. Format: GB-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XX. The same serial covers Base and Pro.
- Open Settings → AI and choose Local (Ollama) or Cloud (Claude API). Local is recommended for first-time setup — the installer handles Ollama automatically.
- Open Connect and sign in to at least one platform — Twitch, Kick, or Velora.
- Open Settings → Voice & Chat, enable voice output, and pick a voice. A Microsoft Neural voice gives the best quality.
- Add the overlay URL as a Browser Source in OBS, then flip the Activate toggle on the Dashboard.
Tip: Use the owner chat box at the bottom of the Dashboard to send the bot test messages before you go live, no need to type in the real platform chat.
