Voice Input PRO Only

Talk to StreamBuddy through your mic and hear it respond. Speech is transcribed locally with Whisper — audio never leaves your PC.

  1. Enable it in Settings → Voice Input.
  2. Pick a mode. Keyword only responds after you say one of your trigger words (e.g. "hey buddy"). Always On responds to every complete sentence.
  3. Click the 🎤 Mic button on the Dashboard to start listening.

Note: The first time you start the mic, StreamBuddy downloads the whisper model (~145 MB). This is a one-time download.

Mic Sensitivity

StreamBuddy only starts transcribing once your mic signal crosses a threshold, set in Settings → Voice Input → Mic Sensitivity. If it shows "Listening…" but never hears you, drag the slider left (more sensitive) and restart the mic — changes apply the next time you click the mic button.

Tip: The mic level meter on the Dashboard is visual only. A moving meter does not guarantee StreamBuddy is picking up your words.
